WHOLE-brain (Full-Stack) thinking makes a lot of sense once we have reactivated our limitless right-brain. For most of us this requires a leap of faith into the unknown. Creating a supportive and safe environment for this gradual process is crucial.

Only innovation (unconventional thinking) solves persistent and intractable problems. This involves change, including in the way we think. While this can seem hard, uncomfortable, and scary at first, let us take on board, and to heart, the words of Steve Jobs when he put billions of dollars on the table in front of a frightened Wendell Weeks and deftly convinced him to accept the money:

“Don’t be afraid! WE can do this!” (paraphrase)

Jobs kept repeating these words until Weeks finally changed his mind and accepted the money. Then Weeks repeated these words to his frightened team until they too finally changed their minds, accepted the money, and conquered their ‘Everest’ to democratise technology, massively benefit billions of people, and add trillions to the global economy.
